Manchester Anglers' Association - Songs and Poems
Loading...
The members of the MAA were as much concerned with literary matters associated with their sport as the pursuit of trout. In the early years of the Association many songs and poems were written and the songs were often sung at the annual farmers’ supper held at the Golden Lion at Horton in Ribblesdale. The supper continues to be held to this day at Horton, but regrettably the members do not now sing songs.
These songs and poems have been assembled and transcribed by David and Jean Marsden.
