A collection of photos of Blea Moor Cottages. Numbers 1 and 2 Blea Moor Cottages were built to house railway workers on the Settle to Carlise line, north of Ribblehead station. Nancy’s family lived at no. 1: mother, father and three daughters.

Interview with Nancy Edmondson, nee Dawson, recorded on the 23rd of November 2023. Nancy is now in her 80s and recalls the type of cottage she used to live in by the Settle to Carlisle railway. Nancy also tells us what happened when the Thames Clyde Express was derailed nearby in 1952.
