Undated leaflet with details of rare Yorkshire Sandwort (Avenaria norvegica anglica)
Loading...
The Yorkshire Sandwort (Arenaria norvegica subsp. anglica) is a rare survivor and almost completely limited to the parish of Horton in Ribblesdale. It used to grow alongside Alum Pot Lane but was eradicated by careless car parking on top of it. However, it still survives on some of the local limestone pavements.
