Capstick Photo
Monochrome photographs of Ingleton Square and a big gathering and celebration. They were taken by “Capstick Photo Ingleton”. The photographs belonged to Mary Worthington of Highwood Cottage. Her grandfather Samuel Worthington is we believe standing on the far left of the photo front row, the 2nd from the left. He was the Publican of the Wheatsheaf Hotel, a Parish Councillor, and initially a part owner and developer of the Waterfalls Trail, then sole owner. He is buried in the Ingleton Cemetery. We would be very interested if someone could find out the date of the photos and what occasion was being celebrated? Something to do with World War 1? We think the banner says “ Help in time of need”,
