Town Head Farm
Town Head Farm
Town head farm is a Grade II Listed Building, pebbledashed with stone dressings and a stone slate roof. A former attached barn is now part of the house with a forking hole where a bedroom now is. It dates from the late 17th century with later additions. The property originally belonged to Walter Morrison. It was occupied by the Hudson family from 1935. Prior to 1947 there was a set pan in the kitchen and a black fireplace in the living room. The windows in the bedrooms are unusual. They are like sash windows but there are no sash cords. The bottom half of each window can be lifted out, or propped open with a plank of wood. The mullioned window in the living room is original, glazed directly into the stone. There are two stone steps between two levels
