M(oore) L. (1900) Yorkshire Ramblers Club Journal 1. (2), 134 – 135 records that on 19 Sep. 1897 Messrs. William Cecil Slingsby , Edward Calvert, Frank Ellet, Thomas Gray & Percy Lund made the first descent of Sell Gill Hole.
It therefore appears that the above photograph is of the YRC descent party.
