Horton in Ribblesdale Wills and Inventories

The wills and inventories for Horton in Ribblesdale for the period up to 1750 are gradually being transcribed  by the Horton History Group – mainly  Sheila Gordon, David Johnson, Geraldine Reardon,  Helen Sergeant, Mary Slater and Mike Slater.  All of those for the period up to 1680 have now been done. Sheila Gordon also undertook to collect and transcribe wills and inventories for the period 1700 to 1750 alongside an HLF project to collect and transcribe late 17th century and early 18th century Giggleswick inventories.

A report on the wills for the period 1418 to 1603 has been published in the North Craven Heritage Trust Journal for 2016, pages 3 to 5 (available via the link to NCHT on this website and as NCW/003/003).

1686 Moore Stephen, Ingman Lodge  October 1686 bundle? Will dated 25 June 1686. Not found. Vacancy. mf 910 but all wills out of order so need to see whole film.

1697 Wilkinson George Not found

1634 Howson Bryan unregistered will. Not found.

1634 Sidgewick Leonard unregistered will. Not found.

1652 Taylor Miles Act Book 24 Not found.

1658 Taylor Bryan Act Book 12 Not found.

For these two Act books for Craven are missing.
