A group of Long Preston School children outside the Mechanics Institute circa 1900 possibly awaiting their band of Hope Day tea.
The School Allotments were in what is now the school playing field. Pupils had a plot each to grow and produce on and to keep tidy. Mr Harris was a headteacher at the school whose family emigrated to Canada.

Long Preston Endowed School with Dormer Roof Light circa 1930 (photograph). School built by Len Heaps, slated and plastered by E. Jackman & Son. Joiners, W. Russells, Long Preston. Plumbing and heating by T. Throup & Sons. Built at a cost of £3,300.
